The Big Band Jam! is the only jazz festival in America specifically created by kids to kids for kids and from kids. Artists as diverse as vocal, fusion, straight ahead, Dixieland, and big band all contribute to the continued success of this ever-growing phenomenon.
The Big Band Jam! Festival features high schools, colleges, universities, military, amateur and professional ensembles. Ensembles have traveled the length and breadth of the U.S. to perform, educate, and teach to others.
Specific tributes have included Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and the annual "Willis Conover Weekend."
