VSA International Arts Festival

VSA arts will bring together artists, educators, researchers, and policy makers with disabilities from around the world for a multicultural celebration of the arts and arts education. Featuring visual, performing, literary, media artists, and a guest list that includes over two thousand participants from all corners of the globe. Highlights of the Festival's artistic programming will include: an installation by Dale Chihuly, the innovative glass sculptor; Dame Evelyn Glennie, the Scottish virtuosic percussionist, performing with the world-famous National Symphony Orchestra; the jazz stylings of Diane Schuur; R&B legend Patti LaBelle; an original dance piece titled Diagnosis of a Faun by Tamar Rogoff Dance Company; Last Comic Standing season four winner Josh Blue; the eclectic blues-stylings of New Orleans' Henry Butler; and famed actors Claire Danes (Romeo + Juliet) and Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God; The L Word).
